Basic & Creative Digital PhotographyThe Basic & Creative Digital Photography short course is designed
for people wanting to improve image quality and creativity when taking
images of travel, holidays, family & friends or just having fun.
Starting with the basics of photography and camera technique we
then take you through the practical uses of light, film, composition,
camera angle and subject impact.
13 lessons One night class per week Class times - 6.30 to 8.30pm 3 Location weekend classes 1 practical night class Starting level : Beginner Maximum of 12 Students per class Course Structure Lesson 1 - Better Images and Expression The 4 keys elements to improve and add impact to your images Lesson 2 - Camera One plus Digital 101
Simplifying the camera to it's basic components. Camera operation and functions of Shutter Speed.
Lesson 3 - Camera Two
Functions of Aperture and it's effects on the image.
Lesson 4 - Camera Three plus Digital 102
Working with both Aperture and Shutter Speed and their
relationship to each other
Lesson 5 - Creative Location
Practical location class
Lesson 6 -Natural Light , light direction, Flash & Digital 103
Importance of light in creative photography, types of light, light
quality and direction. Familiarization with electronic flash and
review of digital creative images.
Lesson 7 - Composition and Creative Viewpoint
Viewpoint, adding impact to your images
Lesson 8 - Practical Location Class
Night photography in the city
Lesson 9 - Subject elements and Creativity
Discussion of elements and their effect on an image
Lesson 10 - Digital Photography 104
Step by step discussion of digital workflow from camera to print
Lesson 11 - Creative Location
Practical look at adding impact with creative compostiton & viewpoint
Lesson 12 - Creative Location Theme Photography
Practical lesson on photographing people
Lesson 13 - Review and critique of all images
Review of final assignment images after two months.
